TOEFL ESSAY [It is more important to have good appearance than good idea]

It is more important to have good appearance than good idea.

 

In modern society, it has been controversial whether it is more important to have good appearance than good idea. However, I basically agree with the given statement because of job interviews and well-designed products.

 

Most of all, It is because of job interview. As a matter of fact, one of the serious issues encountering the country is, indeed, the growing unemployment rate. Most businesses have a tendency of giving a job to people who are good appearance than good idea. The phenomenon can be supported by the recent reports on the Ministry of business. In a recent survey, over 80 percent of companies prefer people who have a good appearance to people who have a good idea. For example, my girl friend who is beautiful never fail to get a job whenever she get job interviews due to her good appearance.

 

In addition, it is because of well-designed product. Nowadays, It is still more important to have well-designed products than good idea products. Generally, most of people in South Korea like good designed products. When people buy some products, they only focus on well-designed. A recent survey conducted by the government showed that 95% people responded that they only see the well-designed products as they buy products. So, to be more competitive, most businesses invest a large amount of money on their designs.

 

To sum up, I strongly support the perspective that it is more important to have good appearance than good idea because of job interviews and well-designed products.
